Seattle Day 1 and Pike Place Market

Laura and I drove up to Seattle early the next morning, we checked into the hotel and headed over to the Space Needle to meet up with our friend Matt, and start our tour of Seattle!

We started with a Duck Tour we rode in a aquatic road vehicle type thing and toured the city. We had these things called "quackers" and Laura and I were both starving so we thought they meant crackers and were seriously stoked, but it was a noise maker so we were out of luck.

After we got done with the duck tour, we grabbed a bite to eat and then booked it to our next tour, the underground tour of Seattle.

Cherry Street Coffee House, I believe I got the gorhem sabzi - A tangy, savory, citrusy stew that combined sautéed herbs, with kidney beans & sun dried limes, served with house pickled veggies and I thought I chose "chicken" but I'm pretty sure that's tofu. No big though! SO GOOD.

Off to the Underground Tour

At this point...I'm full. Tired. Hot. The lesser patient Laura Fox was coming out and my sweet friends were ever so kind and put up with me.

Probably one of my favorite shots from the trip! We were looking up at the skylights in the sidewalks. Super cool.

To quote Travis Lovell (my professor at UVU) when I asked him why he took sunset pictures with black and white film, he said "Sunsets still have value"  I took this 2 ways, they have value in density and luminance, as well as in beauty. This is…

Matt drove us over to see some cool views before they took me back to the hotel. I was so done I skipped dinner went to the hotel, showered and just relaxed for the evening.

Matt drives fast and efficent, it doesn't mean I wasn't scared to death in the "princess Di tunnel"

The Next Day

Pike Place - My least favorite of the trip. It was crowded, and I was really anxious because I didn't know where I was going or what to see. Laura and I pretty much just grabbed breakfasts, I snapped a few pics and we headed out to meet up with Matt. I avoided the gum wall, but we accidentally walked to it! I was pretty grossed out (I hate spit, even if it is art) I enjoyed everyone else though! People are so funny, and predictable.
